Abstract

1,128,415. Boots &c. DESMA-WERKE G.m.b.H. 22 Sept., 1966 [7 Oct., 1965], No. 42306/66. Addition to 1,095, 176. Heading A3B. [Also in Division B5] A multi-layer sole is produced in a mould comprising a bottom piece 17 displaceable in relation to a plunger 13, the plunger 13 having a flange 19, 20 which is lowered after injection moulding an intermediate sole 25 to leave a space for injection moulding a jacketing 26a for part of the sole. As shown, the intermediate sole 25 and a first jacketing 25a are produced by injecting material of one colour through an opening 15 (see Fig. 1, not shown). Material of a second colour or composition is injected through an opening 16 and produces an outer sole 26, a second jacketing 26a and a lower tread surface 26b.
