Abstract
1,128,287. Flow mixers. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 5 May, 1967, No. 20968/67. Heading B1C. A flow mixer for mixing dye or detergent in` water, or for mixing two gases comprises a first passage 2 for one fluid and a second passage 4 for the other fluid in a tube 3 inside the first passage. The tube 3 is enlarged at its downstream end 4a so that the first fluid draws the second fluid through the second passage 4 by ejector effect. As shown, water passes to the first passage 2 through a handle 10 from a hose connected at 11, and dye passes from a plastic bottle 8. Through a non- return valve 9 and a manually controlled needle valve 6 to the second passage 4. The outlet end 12 of the mixer may be connected to a nozzle or another hose.
