Abstract

Flexible or rigid, cellular or non-cellular polyurethane materials are made by reacting organic polyisocyanates with compounds containing two or more OH groups per molecule, in the presence of a 1,3,5-tris-(hydroxyalkyl) hexahydro-s-triazine. Preferred hydroxyl group containing bodies are polyesters, polyesteramides, polyethers or mixtures thereof. Conventional di- or tri-isocyanates may be used. For cellular products, a gas-generator, e.g. water or a low boiling liquid should be included. Usual catalysts and other adjuvants may be included. Examples employ the tris-(hydroxyethyl) or -(hydroxypropyl) hexahydro-s-triazines.
