Abstract
1,120,054. Work benches. K. BROWN. 14 Feb., 1967 [8 March, 1966], No. 10203/66. Heading B4X. A work bench comprises two X-frames 2 each formed by two members 3 and 4 of unequal length and which support two fixed working surfaces 6 and 7 at different heights, a long material support 10 which is attached to the members 3 and is positioned at the same height as the lower working surface 7, a sawing trough formed by members 8 and 9 attached to the X-frames above the intersection of the members 3 and 4, and a work tray 12 located beneath the sawing trough. The work tray has end support members 11 positioned below it to permit the top surface of the tray to be cleaned off. The X-frames may be made in metal or wood and the other parts of the bench from wood, plywood, chip or particle board, the top of the working surfaces 6 and 7 being covered with a plastic laminate sheet.
