Abstract

1,119,919. Furniture. A. DAUWALDER. 19 May, 1967. No. 23466/67. Heading A4H. A double sided piece of furniture 3 is rotatably mounted on a frame 2, the pivot 15 being displaced from the central plane 12 of the furniture piece and being adapted to move along a slot 16 in the frame 2 as the piece is rotated. A toothed segment 11 is secured to the top of the furniture piece and engages a rack 13 secured to the frame to move the pivot 15 along the slot. A similar arrangement of segment, rack and slot is provided at the bottom of the piece of furniture. The front side of the furniture piece provides a drawer 5, book shelves 6, 7 and a compartment closed by a lid 8. The other side comprises a folding bed (27) pivoted about a horizontal axis (26).
