Abstract

1,119,800. Continuous discharge mixing apparatus. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 17 Sept., 1965 [18 Sept., 1964], No. 39687/65. Heading B1C. [Also in Divisions Fl and F2] In a lubricator for an internal combustion engine a pump comprises a chamber 20 to which lubricant and fuel are supplied and in which they are mixed by the pump drive means before passing to the engine. In Fig. 1 a piston 3 is rotated by worm 17 engaging gear ring 15, and is moved up and down by stops, 16, 16a moving on curves 14. Thus lubricant from pump 9 passes via recess 7 to working chamber 4 where it is compressed, and is then released via recess 7, bore 11 and passage 22 to chamber 20. Fuel from pump 25 passes via bore 11 and passage 26 to chamber 20. The mixture exits via bore 27 to the carburettor 30. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the piston has a smaller diameter end portion and working chambers (38, 39) are formed adjacent a shoulder (40) of the larger portion and an end face (41) of the smaller portion. Each portion has a recess (42, 43). Lubricant is supplied to one chamber (38) and fuel to the other chamber (39).
