1,119,568. Surgical drainage bags. P. JACOBSEN. 8 Dec., 1965 [10 Nov., 1965], No. 52026/65. Heading A5R. A flat plastics drainage bag for colostomy or urinary use is divided by a weld seam 18 between opposite sides 3, (4) into two communicating compartments 16, 17; one weld seam 18 or pairs of weld seams (Figures 3 and 4) extending from opposite edges 5, 6 of the bag may be provided. The mouth 8 of the bag is reinforced by folding over the top edge of the bag and is attached by cords, elastic bands 12 or buttons to a waist belt or secured e.g. by glueing, to a flanged ring (not shown) attached to the user. Absorbent material (18) may be placed in one compartment 17.
