Abstract

1,119,055. Pipe joints; pipe linings. MAWDSLEY'S Ltd. 7 Oct, 1965 [10 Oct., 1964; 16 Jan., 1965], Nos. 41462/64 and 2046/65. Headings F2G and F2P. [Also in Division G1] The body of an electromagnetic flow-meter for use with highly abrasive liquids is provided with a replaceable lining in the form of a withdrawable stainless steel tube 3, Figs. 3 and 4, lined with vulcanized rubber. The tube 3 is bolted by flange 11 and clamping ring 13 to end-flanges 5, 6 of the non-magnetic body of the meter 4. The lining 3 carries an end flange 9 for one pipe connection, the connection at the opposite end comprising a short cylindrical portion 17, Fig. 5, having a radial flange extending between the pipe ends and held in position by sealing rings 19 and flange rings 20.
