Abstract

1,118,180. Washing-machines. CONGENIA S.A. 10 Jan., 1967 [12 Jan., 1966], No. 1368/ 67. Heading D1A. A filter 5 is positioned between the drum and centrifugal emptying pump 10 of a horizontal axis washing machine and has fixed thereto a rod 6 with handle 7 which is located in a cylindrical chamber 8 the top of which is above the normal water level in the machine. As shown in Fig. 1 the rod 6 is rigid but in a modification (not shown) in which the chamber 8 is bent to exit through a sidewall of the machine the rod is flexible.
