1,074,061. Washing machines. WILKINS & MITCHELL Ltd. and H. G. H. STRONG. Nov. 25, 1964 [Feb. 18, 1964], No. 6625/64. Heading D1A. An attachment, for use with a washing machine having an agitator 10 comprising a core 11 carrying a plurality of radial blades 13, comprises a sleeve 15 having a plurality of radial blades 17 slotted at their lower ends to straddle the blades of the agitator, a space 16 being formed between the core and the sleeve, the latter having apertures 20 communicating with said space. Detergent is charged into space 16 through the flared upper end of sleeve 15. Projections 21 on the lower end of sleeve 15 form a unit trap.
