Abstract
1,115,074. Cooling reactors. UNITED KING- DOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. 28 June, 1965 [29 June, 1964], No. 26819/64. Heading G6C. In a nuclear reactor steam generator, the pressure vessel 10 encloses both the reactor core 12 and the steam generating tube banks 18 in the annular chamber 17. The tubes 18 are horizontal and are connected to the vertical headers 20, 21. Primary coolant is urged by the pumps 22 downwards through the annular chamber 19, and upwards through the core and the generators 18.
