Abstract

1,114,002. Recording and play-back B.S.R. Ltd. 12 May, 1966 [15 May, 1965], No. 20613/65. Heading G5R. An electromagnetic transducer ring-type head of the kind comprising two C cores 11, 12, contained within a screening canister 20 and having two coils 18 wound astatically thereon in series is provided with two steel screws 24, 25 adjustably mounted in the canister base in line with the legs of the cores, for varying the reluctance of flux paths from an external source through the cores. This enables hum to be reduced or eliminated.
