Abstract

1,113,371. Separating and feeding articles from a pile. POLYTYPE A.G. 26 May, 1965 [15 June, 1964], No. 22449/65. Heading B8S. [Also in Division B6] Lids for tins are fed to a printing machine 8, 14 from a stack 4 by pushers (7, Fig. 2) on an endless chain 6 passing over an adjustable table 5, a suction device 11 being provided to hold the bottom lid of the pile stationary until it is engaged by a pusher. A second suction device 12 is situated adjacent to the printing machine and serves to hold a lid in abutment with its pusher prior to the lid being engaged by a printing segment 8.
