Abstract
1,113,356. Vehicle mirrors. WILMOT BREEDEN (PLASTICS) Ltd. 6 Sept., 1966 [7 Sept., 1965], No. 38122/65. Heading B7J. [Also in Division A4] A rear view driving mirror supporting assembly comprises an integrally moulded plastics mirror backing 1 with an internallythreaded boss 3, and a zinc based die cast or moulded plastics mounting bracket 7 formed with a ball end 9 around which seats a collar 10 screw threaded at 13 for engagement with the boss 3. Thread 13 and/or boss thread 5 may be tapered. The collar is longitudinally split and made of plastics material to enable it to be snapped on to the ball 9. The ball 9 may be formed separately from bracket 7 and secured thereto by means of a spigot 15 on which a cap 16 is located. A peripheral rim 2 of backing 1 allows a mirror glass to be sprung into the backing.
