Abstract

In a combine-harvester, of which the dressing-shoe comprises a chaffer-sieve, a cleaning-sieve below the chaffer-sieve and a blower with a horizontal rotary shaft supporting a plurality of generally-radial blades for impelling an air-blast through the sieves, the impeller-blades are arcuate in transverse cross-section with the convex side facing forwardly in the direction of rotation, and the edge of the cleaning screen furthest from the blower is provided with an upwardly and rearwardly extending baffle which tends to direct the airstream upwardly through the chaffersieve, thus preventing clogging. The blower is provided with a double outletduct, each branch having an adjustable throttle-member therein.
