Abstract
Polyurethane elastic fibres having less adhesivity among yarns and among single filaments are prepared from a spinning solution comprising a polyurethane elastomer and 0.01 to 50% by weight of the elastomer of a compound containing an aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 4 to 50 carbon atoms and being an ester of a carboxylic acid, amide, nitrile, alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, mono-amine containing no alicyclic rings, diamine, in which both amine groups are primary, urethane, ureide or sulphonic acid ester. The spinning solution is spun by conventional methods i.e. wet, dry, semi-melt or melt-spinning. Suitable polyurethane elastomers are those prepared by reaction of a polyether, polyester, polyetherester or polyacetal with an organic polyisocyanate and a chain extending agent such as a diamine, diol or water. Numerous additives are listed those exemplified being methyl oleate, stearic acid amide, palmityl alcohol, the phenyl urethane of cetyl alcohol, stearonitrile, octyl aldehyde, methyl octadecanesulphonate, monoureido stearate, ethyl butyl ketone and octylamine.
