Abstract

1,112,088. Curving. LINDMARK P.S.V. 23 Nov., 1966, No. 52433/66. Heading B3E. A sheet bending machine including at least two rollers around one of which the sheet is curved is characterized in that this roller is axially slidable out of the bending zone to allow removal of the curved sheet. An upper roller 1 co-operates with two lower rollers 5 to curve sheet about the upper roller. The roller 1 is carried at one end by means 2 supported by rollers 6 on rails 7 and moved therealong, to withdraw the roller 1 axially, by screw-and-nut means 9, 8. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the roller 1 is supported by two lower rollers 11, 12 and a driven upper roller 13, which rotate about axes at right-angles to the axes of the roll 1 to withdraw it from its curving position.
