Abstract

Alternate rows A of acoustic ceiling panels 12 are removably secured between pairs of bars 58 extending along opposite sides of the rows A by removable resilient fastening means 60 engaged in aligned holes in the bars 58 and panel edges 28. The panels 14 in the remaining rows B are supported by upwardly extending flanges 34 on opposite sides of the panels 12 in the rows A, the opposite sides of the panels 14 being provided downwardly open hook-like flanges 40 which engage the flanges 34. In each row A and B, the panels 12, 14 respectively, engage each other by means of formations identical with the flanges 34 and 40, provided respectively along the opposite end edges of each panel. The bars 58 may be supported from an overhead support structure 50 by wire clips 56 or by hanger plates, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) having at their lower ends L shaped notches to receive the flanges 64 and 68 of the bars 58.
