Abstract

1,111,238. Frame corner joints. GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. 23 Nov., 1966 [27 Oct., 1965], No. 52502/66. Heading E1J. A knock-down door frame has separate bent metal jamibs 7 and door top 5 which are secured together by resilient tongues 9 on the jambs fitting into holes 13 in the top 5, the tongues 'being split longitudinally and have at their free ends hook formations (10) which after passing through the hole 13 diverge laterally and clip the top and jambs together. A third element in the nature of a central limb 12 performs the double function of pressing the top 5 against the hook formations and also by location of its end between the tongue bifurcations 9 retains these latter apart.
