Abstract

1,111,112. Fuses. F. E. LAKER. 29 April, 1965 [29 Jan., 1964], No. 3770/64. Heading H2G. A cartridge fuse is provided with two separate fuse wires so that when one melts, the fuse can be repositioned to use the other. The fuse comprises a transparent envelope 3, which may be of plastics material, closed by metal caps 1, 2. The cap 1 consists of two segments insulated from one another and connected to the cap 2 by fuse wires 4 and 5. Both caps may consist of insulated segments and more than two independent fuse wires may be included in the same envelope.
