Abstract

1,166,490. Fusible cut-outs. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 6 Dec., 1967 [9 Dec., 1966], No. 55227/66. Heading H2G. The tubular body of a cartridge-type fuse comprises an outer wall made of one resinbonded insulating material integral with an inner wall of different composition and made of an insulating material bonded with a melamine resin exhibiting arc-inhibiting properties. The outer wall is preferably glass fibre bonded with silicon or melamine resin. In the inner wall the bound material may be glass fibre or mica flakes, with preferably not more than 50% by weight of melamine resin.
