Abstract

1,199,913. Steam generators. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION (HOLDINGS) Ltd. 7 July, 1967 [11 July, 1966], No. 30971/66. Heading F4A. A radiant superheater comprises a first portion consisting of one or more banks of tubes 4 extending across the furnace outlet and branching at the ends into a second portion 6 forming a lining for the upper part of the furnace wall 1. The tubes 6 may also form a lining 11 for the roof or may extend through the roof as shown at 10. The tubes 4, 6, extend from a lower header 5 to an upper header 9 without an intermediate header. The tubes are supported by sling tubes 7, 8, which may form part of the superheater or of a separate circuit.
