Abstract

1,199,473. Applying adhesive tape. MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. CO. 20 July, 1967 [21 July, 1966], No. 33473/67. Heading B8F. [Also in Divisions B4-B5] In a portable dispenser for applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet material A to a surface S, a liner L, which initially carries the material A on one face, is led from a supply roll 24 to an applying roller 26 where the material A becomes disadhered from the liner and applied to the surface S as the roller 26 is pressed against and moved relative to the latter, the liner alone then being led between the roller 26 and a take-up roller 30, towards which the roller 26 is movable, so as to pinch the liner between the two rollers, and then past a knife blade 12 for severing the liner.
