Abstract

1,194,670. Suction lifting devices. VACULIFT MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. 23 April, 1969 [26 April, 1968], No. 20687/69. Addition to 1,129,348. Heading B8H. The vacuum lifting device of Specification 1,129,348 is modified by the provision of a pressure reduction chamber 46, Fig. 1, which is connected to the annular chamber 16. This reduces the back-pressure produced when the piston rises and provides a larger volume of air for sounding a warning whistle. Flanges 23, 51 ensure that the diaphragm 19 is folded in an orderly manner. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2, the reduction chamber 48 is provided in a traverse 50 which supports several suction cups 49 connected to the vacuum supply through conduits 52. Conduit 47 connects the chambers 48, 16.
