Abstract

1,194,531. Ventilators. B. W. BAILEY & SON Ltd. 13 June, 1967 [13 June, 1966(2)], Nos. 14653/66 and 26248/66. Heading F4V. A window ventilator forming or fixed to a sill of a window comprises an extruded C-shaped member 3 of plastics or aluminium having an air inlet 13 and an extruded plastics shutter 16 rotatable to vary the flow of air from a row of apertures 12. A thickened portion 7 and a sloping baffle 6a ensure that water entering the inlet 13 or condensation from the window pane 6 entering apertures 12 does not collect within the member 3. End plugs and intermediate support pieces may be provided in the member 3. A weather shield 15 is provided over the inlet 13.
