1,194,046. Exercising apparatus. G. CARNIELLI. 4 Aug., 1967 [10 Aug., 1966], No. 35830/67. Heading A6M. A physical exercizing apparatus in the form of a bicycle in which the handle bars 17 are moveably connected to the frame and are made to move in an oscillatory manner 17'-17" when the pedals 15 are rotated has a connecting rod 20 with one end attached to the handle bar member and the other journalled onto an eccentric which is coupled via a driven gear and a driving gear to the pedals, the number of teeth on the driving gear being an exact sub-multiple of the number of teeth on the driven gear the submultiple being not greater than a third. The pedals drive a fly-wheel 16 which has an adjustable braking means.
