Abstract

1481390 Loosening straw mat in harvesters CLAAS MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH Gebr 26 Sept 1975 [28 Sept 1974] 39633-75 Heading A1F Straw walkers 2 have tines 6 located between their side walls 3 and projecting through slots 8 in their upper surfaces; the tines being mounted on a common transverse shaft 5 which is rotatably driven in operation. In an alternative embodiment, (Figs. 3, 4) the tines 6' are mounted on the cranks of transverse crankshafts 10 mounted in the side walls 3' of the walkers, and bars 11 are rotatably fixed at one end to the cranks and at their other end to a common transverse shaft 12. The crankshafts 10 are thus driven by the normal oscillatory motion of the straw walkers.
