Abstract

1,191,681. Spacers. METALASTIK Ltd. 27 Feb., 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 13411/67. Heading H2C. A spacer for multi-conductor overhead transmission lines comprises a spacer bar/frame 16 attached to at least one pair of clamps, and a device for drawing together the clamp jaws 10, 11, this device serving also to attach the clamp to a flexible joint 19 connected to bar 16. As shown, joint 19 comprises a rubber bush 20 having a rigid sleeve part 24 with a threaded bore 28, said sleeve part being fixed to one clamp jaw at 26. A screw bolt 29 carries a sewing washer 30 bridging a fork in the upper jaw limbs thus connecting clamp jaw and bolt. This washer on 90 degrees rotation disengages the fork. The spacer frame may accommodate two or more conductors.
