Abstract

1,189,910. Metal vapour lamps. WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORP. 18 Nov., 1968 [19 Dec., 1967], No. 54595/68. Addition to 1,138,913. Heading H1D. In a lamp, according to the parent Specification, the filling constituents are present in concentrations, in mgs. cm.<SP>-3</SP>, of 5-25 Hg, 0À05-0À5 thallous iodide, 0À07-0À5 dysprosium, and 0À2-1À5 mercuric iodide. The starting gas may be 60 torr of argon, and indium iodide may further be included for colour correction. The lamp has a double envelope, the inter-wall space being evacuated or filled with nitrogen.
