Abstract

1,189,965. Bearings. W. SCHAEFFLER, and G. SCHAEFFLER, [trading as INDUSTRIEWERK SCHAEFFLER OHG.]. 25 Feb., 1969 [29 Feb., 1968], No. 10091/69. Heading F2A. A roller mounted on a cylindrical roller bearing comprises inner and outer races 2, 1 provided on their axial ends with radial flanges, one of which has a recess 6 axially open to the exterior which receives an annular sealing element 7 mounted on the radially adjacent flange. The sealing element is of metal. One flange associated with the inner race may be loose and held in place by the sealing element, or may be a push-fit on a bolt (12), (Fig. 2, not shown).
