Abstract
1,189,212. Shuttering for building bridges. POLENSKY & ZOLLNER. 16 May, 1967 [18 May, 1966], No. 22738/67. Heading E1S. Shuttering 26 for a reinforced or prestressed concrete bridge deck which is cast in sections is supported by a travelling lattice girder 20 which is in turn supported during the casting by two longitudinally spaced supports 21 on a pier 18. The deck section o immediately above the pier may be cast from the girder or before the girder is moved into position, and the sections 1-7 on each side of the pier are cast in pairs 1-1, 2-2, &c. simultaneously so that the girder remains in equilibrium. Extra supports 22 may be employed on the outermost cast sections, and they are also used when moving the girder 20 from one pier to the next. The shuttering 26 is suspended by trolleys 25 from the girder.
