Abstract

1,188,523. Spray-producers. DORMAN SPRAYER CO. Ltd. 20 July, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 21718/66. Heading B2F. A connection 1 for a spray nozzle (not shown) is fixed to a tube 5 by pushing a spigot 4 into an aperture in the tube 5, the spigot being formed with a tapering passage 6, and inserting a tubular rivet (7), Fig. 2 (not shown) into the passage 6 so as to splay outwardly the part of the spigot within the tube 5. The connection 1 is formed of plastics material or ductile metal. The spigot 4 projects from a wall 3a which is contoured to fit snugly against the outer surface of the tube 5. A nozzle is screwed onto a screw-threaded portion 2 on the connection 1. The spraying apparatus may form part of a spray boom for agricultural or horticultural use.
