Abstract
1,188,473. Water-soluble disazodyes. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 15 May, 1968 [19 May, 1967], No. 23112/68. Heading C4P. The invention comprises water-soluble disazodyes of the general formula wherein D is a radical of a diazo component of the benzene or naphthalene series, K is a coupling component of the benzene or naphthalene series having the -NHCO- para to the azo group, X is H or alkoxy and n is 1 to 3. They are prepared by acylating the corresponding aminodisazo dye with #-[2<SP>1</SP>,2<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP>-tetra fluorocyclobutyl)-acrylic acid chloride in aqueous medium preferably at 0‹-25‹ C. at pH 4 to 8. The dyes give brown shades on cellulose, wool, silk polyamides and leather.
