Abstract
1,187,631. Medicaments comprising sorbitol. MILES LABORATORIES Inc. 16 May, 1967, No. 22731/67. Heading A5B. A stable, chewable, tableting composition comprises from 25 to 100% by weight of sorbitol having a bulk density in the range 0.530 to 0.545 grms./cm<SP>3</SP> when determined by the method prescribed and a particle size in the range 16 to 40 U.S.S.M. Other excipients such as a lubricant, disintegrant, flavour or filler may also be present and tablets may be formed therefrom by compression. Tablets containing vitamins A, B, C and D, antacid tablets comprising CaCO 3 , magnesium trisilicate, Al(OH) 3 /MgCO 3 co-dried gel and tablets containing aspirin are described.
