Abstract
1,187,111. A naso-fundal tube. R. M. HECTOR. 29 July, 1968 [28 April, 1967], No. 13911/67. Heading A5R. A tube 1 for gastric aspiration, lavage or feeding is made of flexible material, preferably transparent PVC with a closed distal end 2 and at least one lateral opening 3 close to the distal end and marks 6 and 7 spaced from the distal end to indicate when the distal end is in the fundus of the stomach, preferably the mark 6 is set 50 cm from the distal end for a patient 4'11" tall and mark 7 at 61 cm for a patient 6'2" tall. The openings 3 are preferably oval with the long axis parallel to the tube length.
