[Also in Division A1] The adjacent ends of fishing rod sections 1, 2 are connected by a ferrule 3 having a tapered bore conforming to the taper of the sections; the angle of the taper is between 1 and 3 degrees and the ferrule has a portion 4 of increased wall thickness at the abutting ends of the sections.
