Abstract

1,181,434. Prefabricated buildings. ELLIOTTS OF PETERBOROUGH Ltd. 17 Jan., 1968 [3 Feb., 1967], No. 5445/67. Heading E1A. A prefabricated building for use as a school, office or hospital consists of a threedimensional rigid framework having guide rails or channels to slidably receive prefabricated room units 40 which are inserted therein endwise. The room units are provided with wheels and walls, windows, doors, stair ways and other fittings as necessary. Plumbing, heating, electrical services and asbestos wool packing are housed in the gaps between the ground and first floor units and between the roof and first floor units, the roof consisting of pre-felted timber panels covered by two layers of roofing felt. The units 40 are bolted to-gether and to the adjacent framework.
