Abstract

[Also in Division B2] A flexible sheet material comprises a compressed sheet of a reticulated or reticular cellular material the whole of which is maintained in a compressed condition by means of waterinsoluble adhesive adhered to one or each surface of a fibrous material. The fibrous material may be a textile fabric, a layer of cellular material, or a layer of non-woven staple or continuous textile fibres which can, if desired, be bonded together with an elastomeric or resinous bonding agent. The fibres may be in a crimped condition. The fibrous material may be knitted or woven and be made of rayon, cotton, polyethylene terephthalate, acrylic fibres or polyamide.
