Abstract
1,178,254. Knitting tool. G. B. OGLE. 11 Dec., 1967 [10 Dec., 1966; 13 Sept., 1967], Nos. 55436/66 and 41772/67. Heading D1C. To assist casting off of loops from the needles of a knitting machine a pivoted latch 8 cooperates with the hook 14 of a hand tool the hook having a projection 16 which has a concave surface cooperating with the hook of a knitting needle to enable a loop on the latter to be slid therefrom on to the shank of the hand tool whereafter a yarn laid in its hook can be drawn as a loop through the loop on the shank which is then cast off from the tool.
