Abstract
1,177,002. Haymaking machines. JOSEF BAUTZ G.m.b.H. 16 Jan., 1967 [23 July, 1966], No. 2271/67. Heading A1F. In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine comprising a beam 12 with rigid stub-axles 5 supporting the rake-wheels 3 and a rigid frame 6 for attachment of the beam to the three-point linkage 1 of a tractor 2, the beam is provided with a horizontal pivot 9 extending parallel to the line 10 of resistance to motion, so that the forward portion 8 of the beam is free to ride over obstructions. A tie-rod 11 is pivoted between lugs (Fig. 3, not shown) on the beam-parts 8, 12 and is partly encircled by a spring 13 which partly supports the weight of the forward beam part 8. For transport, the tie-rod can be disconnected and the beam part 8 swung up about the pivot until the lugs engage, when they can be pinned together. (For Figure, see next page)
