1,174,552. Casting inlet manifolds. CONVERSION & TUNING CENTRE Ltd. 21 Feb., 1968, No. 8451/68. Heading B3F. [Also in Division F1] A cast inlet manifold 10 of an I.C. engine has a pipe 13 for conveying heating fluid embedded in the wall during casting. The tube 13, which is preferably of copper but may be of steel or synthetic plastics material, is laid in a sand mould prior to pouring of the manifold metal.
