1,173,808. Collapsible paddling pools. R. F. DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. 7 Nov., 1968 [5 Dec., 1967], No. 55286/67. Addition to 1,050,758. Heading A4N. A collapsible paddling pool comprises a flexible base 1, a semi-rigid side wall 2, and an inflatable and deflatable rim 6. The base consists of flexible material, such as polyvinyl chloride, the side walls comprising a plurality of rigid panels 3, 4 sandwiched between two layers of the flexible material (5), Fig. 3, (not shown) similar to the base material and coupled laterally by the material via lines of heat sealing, so as to permit relative movement of adjacent panels in the erected condition. The rim 6 protrudes vertically from the upper edge of the side wall 2 and is formed from an initially flat, elongated sheet of plastics material having its longer edges overlapped and heat sealed to the upper periphery of the side walls.
