1,168,071. Caps for bottles. W. R. GRACE & CO. 17 Oct., 1966 [18 Oct., 1965], No. 44083/65. Heading B8T. A crown closure shell A has a plastics liner B in contact over its top area. The liner B has an integral annular bead C disposed radially inward from its outer edge. The radial section of the bead C is either a half segment of a circle, or else a triangle; in both cases the height of the bead section is much less than its width and its radially outer edge is vertical. Typical dimensions are quoted. The liner may be of foamed plastics.
