Abstract
1,165,688. Cooling granular material. CKD PRAHA OBOROVY PODNIK. 4 Nov., 1966 [5 Nov., 1965], No. 49547/66. Heading F4B. A shaft cooler for granular material comprises a rectangular shaft 1, superposed deflector members 2 and 5 of inverted V-formation, with baffles 4 extending downwardly and inwardly therebetween, the baffles 4 and members 5 being formed with louvres 6 for the passage of cooling air. The latter is supplied by a duct 7 and removed at 10. Discharge shoots 9 are provided for the charge material. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), superposed deflector members are flanked by a pair of similar members disposed longitudinally and partly overlapped by the uppermost member.
