Abstract
1,165,038. Electro-photographic reversal development. FUJI SHASHIN FILM K.K. Nov.2, 1967 [Nov.2, 1966], No.49950/67. Heading G2H. An electro-photographic reversal development is carried out while an external voltage is applied across the charged and imagewise exposed photo-conductive layer in a sense to oppose the charge image on the layer, the external voltage either being varied in dependance on the attenuation characteristic of the photoconductive layer under the conditions of development so that its magnitude at any time is equal to or less than the instantaneous electrical field produced by the charge image at areas of maximum charge density or being held constant at a magnitude equal to or less than the electrical field at the areas of maximum charge density at the commencement of development minus the attenuation that occurs during development. Development may be with a powder or liquid developer.
