Abstract

1,163,978. Spray-producers. A. MULLER. 3 March, 1967 [7 March, 1966], No. 10295/67. Heading B2F. [Also in Division F1] Apparatus suitable for spraying a liquid such as a lacquer contained in a pressurized receptacle 1 comprises a handgrip 8 detachably secured to the receptacle 1 and having mounted thereon lever means 17 adapted to actuate a valve member 19 controlling the discharge of the lacquer through a nozzle 20, and a pair of concentric hood members 6, 7 which are provided with radial openings 10 and 15 respectively for the discharge facing away from the handgrip 8. The hood 7 is formed integrally with the grip 8 and the hood 6 is provided with slit (12), fig. 2 (not shown) so that it engages the neck of the receptacle 1 resiliently. In a modification figs. 4 and 5, (not shown) the lever actuates the valves of a pair of pressurized receptacles (2), (3) simultaneously so that two components of a lacquer are discharged in intersecting streams. In a further embodiment, Figs. 6-8 (not shown) the inner hood (24) is provided with a discharge nozzle (29) and the hood is injection moulded in a non-removable manner within an outer hood (25).
