1,161,923. Stud and socket fastenings. U. SARTARELLI. 13 March, 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 11776/67. Heading E23 [Also in Division A3] An adjustable band for watches and the like comprise a pair of resilient curved strips 11, 12 engageable at one end with a watch case, the other end adjustably overlap and are frictionally held against sliding when the strips engage the watch-case and means for locking the strips together. The strips are looked together by a pair of resilient clips 19 each extending inwardly from an edge of the outer strip 12 and selectively engaging in one of a series of identations along each edge of the strip 11. A pair of fingers 16 on the end of the strip 12 engage over the edges of the strip 11 to guide it. In modifications a projection on one strip is selectively engagable in one of a series of key hole slots or indentations in the other strip to lock the strips together.
