Abstract

1,159,282. Continuously winding bobbins, tension arrangement. ELITEX - ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI, GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 20 Jan., 1967, No. 3130/67. Headings DID and D1J. Filament 8 is continuously wound alternately onto two-coaxial roller-driver bobbins 31, 37 and during transfer of winding to the empty bobbin the speed of feed of the filament 8 is reduced to that of the peripheral speed of the bobbin on which the winding has been formed (bobbin 37 as shown in Fig. 2). As shown, the speed of feed of the filament is reduced by moving the filament from the larger diameter 2 or 4 to the smaller diameter 33 or 34 of the feed roll 3 or 5 using guide 1 the filament 8 is thereby kept under tension during transfer of the winding. During winding the filament 8 is returned to the larger diameters of the feed rolls, the filament 8 is transferred between the bobbins by pushing the filament out of the transverse guide 7 or 32 with batten 30, moving the filament with pneumatic piston and cylinder 19, 20 and moving batten 30 back and away from the guide 7 or 32 so that the filament automatically feeds itself into the guide.
