Abstract

1,158,152. Suction cleaners. MOULINEX S.A. 15 July, 1966 [16 July, 1965], No. 31976/66. Heading A4F. In a portable suction and blower apparatus, e.g. a vacuum cleaner driven by the battery of a self-propelled vehicle, the outlet 24, Fig. 1, and the inlet 20 are of similar shape so as to be capable of receiving the same adaptor (30), Figs 2 and 3 (not shown) for inflating or completing deflation of an inflatable device. The outlet 24 is of cup-shaped form with a perforated base. The internal surface of the outlet may be provided with annular fins., preferably on a metal liner, for location in complementary peripheral grooves in the base (36) of the adaptor. Talcum or other suitable preservative for rubber may be injected into the inflating air flow. The vacuum cleaner may have a frustro-conical filter 18, or it may be of the filterless type which impels dust to the outside through a tube connected to the outlet.
