Abstract

1,158,142. Transistor sawtooth circuits. AUTOMATIC INFORMATION DATA SERVICE Ltd. 22 July, 1966 [26 April, 1965], No. 17422/65. Heading H3T. A sawtooth generator comprises a pair of emitter followers VT 1 , VT 2 feeding deflection coils L, having a capacitor C connected in feedback path, the capacitor being charged or discharged via a constant current transistor VT 3 the current of which is controlled in dependence on the current in the deflection coils L. In the field time base shown for television equipment, the capacitor C is repetitively discharged by field pulses applied via diode D and then recharged via the constant current transistor VT 3 , the scan being linearized by the voltage across resistor R f which controls the current of VT 3 . An amplitude control Rv is provided.
